Tryout version of Dunkirk for OAW128C here (about 75 MB):
http://mogggy.org/dunkirk/OAW/Dunkirk152-forOAW.zipNote this is for the OAW version previous to 128E.
This should be unzipped in the EAW folder which OAW128C (OAWSelect128V13 - or pre 128E at any rate) uses.
Under the EAW folder it will create a "1940 Dunkirk 15" folder which contains all the Dunkirk hierarchy of folders and files including in the "squadata" folder the Dunkirk manager 1.52 for OAW i.e. DunkOAW.exe.
Under the OAW128 folder it will firstly create a "C 1940 Dunkirk 15" folder. This contains a dir.set file, and the globe and intro smk files
It also creates four E folders containing the 128C versions of the Dunkirk exes:
E Dunkirk Open Daytime
E Dunkirk Open Nightime
E Dunkirk Squad Daytime
E Dunkirk Squad Nightime.
To run a Dunkirk mission do the following:
(1)
Run the Dunkirk manager to set up what kind of mission you want. It's probably easiest if you create a shortcut to run the manager from desktop or windows bar. The manager takes you through the choices of "open" status where you can use the scenario elements to set up your own mission, or "Squad missions" ie loading saved historical missions for each allied or axis squadron. The manager will then set up all mission elements in the "1940 Dunkirk 15" folder. Note the last thing the manager tells you is which exe to load when you go to OAW.
(2)
Go to OAW128. Load nothing except "C 1940 Dunkirk" and whatever exe the manager indicated i.e. "E Dunkirk Squad Daytime".
(3) Edit your eaw.ini to oldstyle=1 so that the game uses the original type of plane selection screens
(4) Run the loaded eaw.exe
If you chosen a squad mission you be directed to the appropriate plane selection screen. At the Mission set up screen choose "load" to load the offered squad missions. Note one glitch here is that if the mission is a night mission by loading the saved mission it may not set the mission time time to "night". You may have to do this yourself.
Please let me know about any further glitches you spot.
This is by no means a finished item.
