Don't worry about the leading edges matching up with the rest of the wing. I'm already correcting that. The leading edge is reversed on the texture panel and they do not come with directions. sigh

Mike,

Iīm preparing some larger-scale profiles and reference material for you.
I know Michael Reimerīs website, but he offers well-researched and excellent profiles (in small scale) besides outdated and obsolete material.
Do you prefer III./JG 27 or other Gruppen of JG 27,too?

I prefer to do when possible (read documented) a single squadron. But when that informantion is scarce I'll do planes from the same group/gruppe. So, for JG 27 I'm going to use 9-12 staffel from III Gruppe. Right now 43-4 skins from each staffel is what I have found.

Anyway, the more the merrier.

Didn't any of those guys use the same tin of paint?

Or, were they borrowing bits off of other planes?

Either way,, a very impressive set of skins Mike! thumbsup

Fabulous, Mike thumbsup cheers

The reason for this colourful chaos is quite simple:
1) The RLM was switching in 1944/45 from the old grey/grey camoes to new green/brown camoes, allowing some green/Gray comopuflage as interim to use up obsolete paint
2) The delivery of pre-fabricated and pre-painted parts such as engine covers tailfins, rudders and elavators by subcontractors (sometimes furniture producers for the wooden parts usingstenciled blotches and lacquers suited for plywood surfaces)
3) The omission of skypaint for the undersurfaces, leaving the bare alu surfaces)
4) The war situations did not allow to coordinate the proper deliveries of parts

Great work I really like these.

I maybe behind our game, so I have a question about how do you get the different skins for the differnt aircraft to show up in game? Like the screen of them all on the runway. I probably missed a utility or something. I am using the OAW128e control panel and don't see were to use these aircraft.

This is were the MS-18 prefix for the skins come from, explaining why I can not find were to put this file of planes.

Any help is appreciated.

The MS number relates to EAW 128C/D and OAW. In EAW all the planes have assigned slot numbers anmd names. This plane the Bf109K is slot 18. So, when it is selected for an earlier version the selector and EAW know that plane is added.

In 128.e the slot system still works but it doesn't use the MS prefix. The skins go into specific plane sets and the OAW selector allows you to add and remove skins from within the set. Mr. Jelly is much better at explaining this for you. I'm still trying to finish the base plane set and haven't really done much in manipulation of the sets.

You control the number of planes through the hanger screen, and mission menu, choose a ground start and you will have planes lines up to take off.
