1.28E runs the addons without OAW so why do I need one?
Well, the answer depends on what you want to do.

The reason for thew release is that this version is the only version which allows a user to build modify the new "PDir.set" and "FMDir.set" files:

Here I have loaded the "PDir.set" and "FMDir.set" files from ETO_01 planeset4, and they can easily be edited and saved, preferably in another location.




The main reason that an existing file might need to be modified is to change the skin file (maybe from 8 bit to 24 bit if you have a 24 bit version).
However, what an online user must not do is to overwrite an existing "FMDir.set" file in the supplied downloads. Otherwise the next time that set is used online it would generate the "different aircraft data" error.

i think there is a bug. Like on your screene(Ta152/Ju87D), the FM folder names are disorted sometimes, actually very often on my side.

Ralf: There was an error in the "FMDir.set" file in my folder in Planeset4, not the OAW selector.
In fact I was able to correct it using the OAW selector and save the new files



AFAIK the error is not in the installer files
