OK, now where the hell is the key... Usually a pop up says "here is your key", but not for this game, and right clicking and selecting, "get keys" ain't there... any idea?

Nice to buy a freakin game, download it and not be able to play because of key issues... I swear some of these companies need to be #%&*$# slapped, lol. wink

Tell me about it I bought the boxed paradox edition and I've been waiting since midnight GMT last night for the game to accept it's code. Steam really needs to get it's act together.

I just installed the boxed Paradox version without a problem (apart from AVG telling me the game had a virus).
The game will run,but after entering my profile all I get is music and a view of the sea.No menu, nothing.
I am not alone.Apparently this will be fixed when Steam release an update banghead
Not too impressed so far....

Stupid question maybe, but why buy this one via Steam? Direct download via Shipsim.com also is available; the key is then simply in your account settings.

Price mainly, I bought a boxed product for £17.99 to buy the VStep download would have cost around £38 the steam version is about £25.

Monopolistic Steam really are a disgrace when it comes to customer service taking literally 3-4 days to answer support questions I bought a boxed product also to avoid the hell that is digital distribution only to find it too is now tied to Steam. Who even now 36+ hours on from the supposed release date have not activated my game! It's about time they used some of their huge profits to employ more support staff and have 24/7 customer service.

Has anyone got this running yet?
The official forum is crammed with complaints.

Getting it to run was very simpel (but I got it directly from VStep - price for me is the same as Steam usually converts Dollars directly to Euros). Now learning it is a different story.

You can imagine my frustration at this.
I bought the boxed version but it has to install via Steam.
But as I understand it I have to update to V 1.1 manually (not via Steam) however the patch says I don't have the game installed.
I have been going round in circles for nearly 2 days over this like a ship with a busted rudder.....

@ Chucky you can download the complete Steam 1.1 version of the game if you have the installation code from the back of your printed user manual.
