BC has 8 diff compressions for dif cons to the net take me and bigA both on cable there was 0 lag and no choppy voice lag and i was hosting both battle com and EECH still no lag but just icq me if u want BC ill send it to yahs its only 2 meg icq#116169222 =}

How did it go? Did y'all get airborne in the end?

We were flying, but we had a few problems.

First we started our on-going Lebanon campaign with 4 people flying with 1.5.1D (or did we start out with C?? - it got a bit confusing ); me as host on DSL, Fixer on cable and PCriddle and Hedge-Hog (another German guy) on modem.
I think the other three experienced bad lag and eventually the game crashed on me with a weird errors message with "Entity Type Soundeffect" in it

We restarted with 1.5.1C but after awhile that crashed on me too.

So we started a skirmish (Taiwan4) with 1.5.1D that again crashed after 10 minutes. I rebooted and started it again, now only with Fixer, PCriddle and me - about 10 minutes later the skirmish was won due to the last Hokum being shot down.

MP often seems very unstable with more than 3 people and/or more than one guy on modem

Last November when mostly Fixer and I played a lot MP and I was still on modem we had I think three weeks or so with two or three nights flying per week and that worked great.

It's a shame but maybe it would be better to have two people hosting if there's more than one player with a modem connection

I think we all went on 1.5.1D from the start.

There were definitly some lag problems but i can not comment on how bad because I normally host and don't know what is "normal".

I will endevour to get a rebuild done ASAP to get back to the status quo. Goot to make sure I have all the buidl CD's etc and upgrade patches available

Oh, you could be right, I was flying an Apache at that time - and didn't look to carefully at the "war is over" screen, it seems.

As for lag - the last you few weeks flying with you as host I usually didn't have any lag or not more than half a second.

get ICQ and look at the profile for some of the guys, sometimes has their ICQ #.
