Very nice! Modern warfare 2 cost 200 million dollars , wonder what the budget is for MoH.

Cheers

Yes, imagine have a decent budget frown

Those engines are not suitable for helo sims out of the box, they are good for toy soldier sandbox games. Had a look at them. It's not so much the engine as the amount of work required to get the best out of them, tools and people which cost money. Our engine is probably just as capable, even if the tools are a bit er...limited shall we say?

Nobody in the end wanted invest in us so we went ahead and did it anyway.

And not for that decision alone you deserve the highest respect!
It seem`s that only the little(few men) independent companys can hold our simulation hobby alife, besides from these who have military contracts.

As I said, I vote for a "support the CH design group" PayPal button on the CH blog or the SimHQ forum! I think you'd be surprised how many people would chip in smile

I don't really like to do that though. Not until we can give something back. But people can show support by purchasing the stupid game when we're done, even if you hate it, please. I need the dental work I'm British.

We can do some snazzy post effects with our engine. I just turned on some of the bells and whistles which I normally leave off. Godrays, HDR, Bloom (arrgh my eyes) and kicked up a dust-storm on the helipad so you can see the sunlight in it.

(In white on the left that's 'stick man' our goofy pilot stand-in)

This is our first full sim and if it's viable financially we have plans on taking it to the next level. First with Operation Peagasus expansion with the CH-47 and one other undecided. But moving on to larger arenas depending on what the new tools let us do. By that time OpenGL 4.0 will be here and all this will look much better with hardware anti-aliasing support for deferred renderers.

And streaming terrains too, that will let us pack in so much more detail smile
