Thanks for hosting Magnum!

It'd be nice to have a running tally of what cars and tracks people have or would be willing to buy for a race.

I'm sorry that I couldn't make this event. I was out of town on Saturday.

Sorry here as well. I had practiced a bit for this and was looking forward to it but mid-day weekends are often tough for me to make.

As far as car/track combos I'll get the ball rolling and mention that I have all the Road cars and tracks and would be willing to race any of them, on Oval side I only have the cars up to the truck and Bristol, Indy and Daytona but I'm pretty much game to try any track, though I really suck at ovals.

As far as suggestions it seemed like some people had a hard time with the fixed setup so might want to avoid that, but I think sticking with some of the low class cars is a good idea to get people who haven't bought all the content to participate.

I agree... lower class cars for now, if we had good turn outs i'd really like to see some mixed classes in a race or two... JMO, but not till we have at least 16 (4x4).

I only have the base csrd snd tracks for the moment but my preference is for tin tops and road tracks. If we could get a Brands Hatch race up and running i would buy that circuit in a shot.. One of my all time favourites.

I would be willing to get any car to run in a sim hq race as they are monthly anyway and not too much of an outlay per month.

It was an awful event for me. The fixed setup was too loose (for me) and I ended up all over the place. Several laps in, at turn one, I failed to get the car slowed down enough whilst up the inside of Alex Coutie (I think) and bumped him wide. It wasn't a desperate lunge with no hope, but there still wasn't enough room for me to complete braking without hitting him. It was a stupid move I've not seen myself make since my early online racing days, and I'm more than a little embarrassed. Sorry Alex.

I had done half and hour's work on the setup before, and dialled out the oversteer I didn't like. Although nowhere near the front runners, I was two seconds slower with the fixed setup as issued. With only limited setup options available even I can tune a car to suit my style relatively quickly. I wonder if this is worth bringing in for future events.

Thanks again to Magnum and SimHQ for hosting and organising. I hope I can give a better account of myself at the next meeting.
