We are indeed fortunate to have an illustrator the quality of Ade involved with EAW and SimHQ too. His lively presence on the boards is always good value, and as for those caricatures...Priceless!

great article, beautiful (and fun!) illustrations.

btw, in the Tigers Gallery there's an illustration of a german 3 engine passenger plane with a dude sitting in a bucket next to the wheels (http://www.sandbagger.uk.com/RG/char/60%20cord.jpg) ... wtf, Germany, is that for real? I tried looking it up online and couldn't find a thing.

Also, love the f-15 with the air freshener (http://www.sandbagger.uk.com/RG/char/40%20kay.jpg) freakin' hilarious, reminds me of repo man.

Anyways, all those illustrations are wonderful and there are a ton ... time well spent and quite inspiring to boot.

on Ju52's in the late 30's...don't know if
this was voluntary or a punishment!!

here's a couple more soon to be released for

Thanks for the info Ade, and the art. Those buckets must have been a wild ride ... voluntary punishment? Also, I may have to nickname my nickname into mappo!

mappo

in Oz it's a common practice to add an O to a 'christian or
surname depending on which wears it the best.

eg: Peter Jackson...would get Jacko
however Jack Thompson may get both
Jacko and Thommo...

I get Ado a lot...we're a weird mob m8..
thanks for your encouraging words.

Ade's wonderful caricature series was well worth the interruption to his ongoing work on European Air War's long-awaited WWI scenario, "The Western Front" thumbsup

We at EAW hope he will soon get back to it!
