Trying to get into it a bit, sifting thru the website here and at ROF.

Any recommendations for tutorials for the newbie skinner?

I have Photoshop Elements 8.0 (which I am just learning to use)....seem to remember reading that I would need to download a plug in to use it for skins

WWBrian had mentioned that he had an old version and was getting Alpha layer errors and switched to using paint.net with good success.

got a little closer, did find the skinning tutorial on the ROF site...pretty sparse as a tutorial, but its a start
