Just a variation of the afternoon soap operas.

Vinny and Rick flew back seat in F-16's. You're right, Vinny handled like over 8 G's and and was still laughing and wanting to do more, Ricky didn't do as well. Both seemed to have a good time though.

Saw the episode this afternoon where Vinny quit. That was pretty emotional, I thought maybe Mikey and Junior were going to cry. The part where Mikey whispered to Vin, "I wish I was going with you", pretty indicative.

There was another episode where they built a Gander Mountain bike. In the first part of it Sr. and Jr. got into a monster of a verbal fight, one of the worst I've ever seen. They made up later and hugged each other with a lot of "I'm sorry" ies and both were crying. Not made for TV, real.

I think it embarrassed them both and they went out in the shop and apologized to everyone there for their behavior.

Seems like I watched through the season when Mikey came on. Really didn't like him being there, too much for comic relief. The kid Cody was nice and Sr. did seem to take to him well. It was an odd mix of doing a lot for others but not having that patience with the people that count the most. Sr. always came across very well in tv interviews too. I guess he and that one son just can't get along.
I think the money came from his steel business more than anything, and that enabled the bike business, or so I understood it. Probably not the case these days though.
Unfortunate if they both blew it due to personality disorders.

When I watched the show it seemed like as Jr. got more and more attention, Sr started to act like he thought he was being overshadowed and didn't like it. I don't remember when I stopped watching, but Sr was going off on the littlest of things. Kinda like, "I did this in the day and it's still my day"

I pretty sure I read that Sr has no relationship with any of his sons (3?).

Anyway, design-wise, some the builders featured on biker build off (?) had some truly outstanding custom works, more so than AC

"pretty sure I read that Sr has no relationship with any of his sons (3?)."

And they all lived unhappily ever after.

Too much arguing to be entertaining for my taste but...I also never liked 24. They should have made each episode show the events of a day, an hour was too unbelievable when it showed our hero in various countries and a car trip across L.A. gimme a break.

Junior was the creative element of that operation. Creative types tend to be flaky. Senior didn't seem to understand that to foster creativity you need to deal with that without constantly pushing for strict order. In essence, Senior stifled Junior's creativity.

My brother lives not far from their shop and he says they were fighting long before the TV show came along.

Most father and son businesses have that type of friction.

I'm ready to rock and sock. The wife is taping the show, I am beginning to think she wants to see it as much as I do!
