Yeah, maybe, but maybe not. I read somewhere that Sr. and Jr. had a bit of a get back together following the death of that guy that fell through the roof of Jr.'s shop.

Tragic thing, but I hope somehow, someway, those two can put this crap behind them. I really think that despite it all they love each other. If that means no more TV shows, fine.

Life is too short.

I hadn't heard about the death at Jr.s shop. eek2

I agree it would be better for both of them if they can work things out.
Is Mikey out of rehab ?

Wow, my turn to say I hadn't heard that! Mikey in rehab?

Senior was, sober since about 25 years, Junior had a stint of drugs & alcohol, but I never heard about Mikey.

Man, seems to run in the family.

The wife told me she'd tape the show, but then said "I don't know why, I don't care about building motorcycles"

I said, it's not about that. It's about family.

Cripes. Hope he's OK.

Senior always said the only reason Mikey was in the shop is because he made Sr. laugh.

I think there's a little more to it than that.

I never knew for sure that Mikey was having problems but he always gave me that vibe.

I've looked but I can't find where he is out of rehab yet and it was for alcohol abuse in the articles I've found.

Senior sure talks a ton of crap. Granted, it is all in the editing but... for a guy who thinks himself the good guy, he talks like the bad guy. I know that if I made up with my dad and then saw video of him badmouthing me, I would not be happy about it.

Sr definitely ratched up the animosity level.

Even if it's an act I felt Jr. took the high road tonight when he was talking about his dad.
IMO, Jr. is starting out on a level that could bankrupt him fairly quickly.
I would be surprised if the rent on that building was less than $3,000 a month and that he had to sign a year lease, at a minimum, to get it.

Click to reveal..

Sr. complaining that Jr. had no original ideas and had to go back to building bikes like Jr. had failed on some level because he went back to building bikes was silly statement to me. IMO, that is the smartest thing Jr. did do because he has spent the last 20 years doing it. All the other ideas Jr. came up with were harebrained to me.

Senior's disconnect from reality is not totally surprising, as he never appreciated his son's vision like he should have, but that first episode shows a level of delusion from him that is puzzling. How can he say these things about the kid who made the family a household name? Did Senior build up the business without Junior? Yes. But they became who they are now BECAUSE OF JUNIOR, not Senior.

I think, more than anything, this episode shows how bitter family squabbles can become and how quickly a person can disregard the importance of another person purely for the purpose of self-preservation of ego.
