I am considering picking up OFF since RoF got me hooked on WWI era flying and I was wondering if OFF supports 16:10 resolutions without stretching? My monitor's native resolution is 2560x1600 and aything outside of that looks...not so good. lol
OFF looks great and I would like to pick it up if my resolution is supported (I also own a 16:9 native panel as well if 2560x1600 is not supported).
Thanks!

I'm not sure as I just picked OFF up myself.Does OFF automatically only give you resolutions that your video card and sytem support? The reason I ask is I only have a Nvidea 8800GT and the maximum resolution I see supported is 1680 x 1050, which just happens to be my monitors native resolution. Not probably the answer you were looking for, but at least its something Now if you can tell me how to get emails sent when theres an answer to one of my threads I'll be all set. I tried setting the topic to watched, but never get answers.

In the 16:10 ratio it supports wide screen 1680 x 1050 and 1440 x 900 both at 32 bit color. They don't look streetched to me.. I use the 1680x1050 which is the native res for my 22" LCD monitor.
There are about 10 other 32 color bit resolution combinations at different ratios to choose from.

Hello All,
My question is: how it would go on all of these crumby new 16:9 resolution screens. (If the trend to widescreen gets any worse we will be looking at computers through a letter box slot again ... like we used to with two or three lines of type at a time!) Will that cause stretching or distortion of the beautiful plane shapes?
As to 16:10, it is designed to run correctly at 16:10 but I cannot help with large screens like Ark's. I only have 1680*1050 and it looks excellent. To answer about the hi res screens, we really need an expert's input.
Regards, George.

Maybe this will help, OFF supports the following 32 bit color screens with out distortion:
16:10 = 1680x1050 & 1440x900
16:9 = 1600x900 & 1280x720
16:12 = 1600x1200, 1280x960, 1024x768, 832x624 & 800x600
I have a 22" LCD runing native res of 1680x1050 with an older Nvidia 8800gts 320mb with a 2.4ghz Intel core 2 duo, Antec TP3 650w PSU, 2gb fast ram, a Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card, Windows XP Pro v3 and I use TrackIR5
I have OFF settings in the workshop CFS3 configuration set to 5 planes, 3 both terrains, 4 for clouds and effects. I get smooth flying in the 40-60 fps range and it looks great.

It DOES support 1920 x 1200 natively, and upwards fine. The poster above mentioned running 3 monitor resolution fine and it's not simply stretched as some sims, it's a full wider rendered extra screen width. I believe Rabu just forgot to type out the other 209388 in the list so you assumed I run at 1920 x 1200.

I just picked up a Samsung 21.5 LCD monitor at Staples. The native resolution is 1920x1080. I set the CFS3Config to 1980x1080x32. That is a 16:9 aspect ratio. So I selected 16:10 aspect in Workshop. The 16:9 aspect gives a calculated 30x17 FOV which I set in Workshop. I can actually see out over a little more of the port and starboard wings while looking straight ahead. I also discovered that I do not have to twist my TrackIR as far to get an excellent Check-Six view. I am running sliders at 5-4-4-5-3 for an NVidia GTX 260 card with latest GeForce 258.96 winxp 32bit driver set. I get very little stutters in a dozen A/C furball. I cannot detect any stretching in the game view. However, the various Campaign Picture Screens for each nation display the aircraft a little bit Longer and Skinnier than normal. But I can live with that. IMHO, Wide Screen is the only way to go - short of a Triple Head setup.

Pol S!
I am running OFF in XP and at the moment I run it at 1680 x 1050 on a projector. My graphics card is a nVidia GX280
I am toying with the idea of upgrading my projector to a 1080pHD native resolution and connecting to the graphics card via DVI to HMDI cable, in order to play OFF at such a resolution.
Will this work OK - can the sim support such a setup?
TIA
