Personally, I'd take a CUCV over the Ford. For some reason I have a soft spot for vehicles you can do all needed maintenance & repairs with maybe $200 worth of Craftsman tools. $200 won't even get you the cables needed to connect the Ford to your $3000 scanner.

Right Phil, bring back points and plugs and gap gauges.

A tune up in front of your house before a date with the only cost being for parts. Knock the dirt out of the air filter as a final move.
