Can anyone who has used this program please help. I have attached a Leo Bodnar BU0836X board and been able to assign keystrokes to the various buttons, then save the file.
What I cant find is what do I then do with this file in order to use my switch panel in Falcon4 AF (or for that matter any other sim)?
Thanks and regards BOB

This might be a bit simplistic..but do you leave the program running when you are playing the game? I use it in my IL-2 simpit, I assign a button press (after assigning a keyboard key to it) as an "on" and a second button press as an "off" for use with toggle switches. So I can flip a switch up for gear up and flip it down later for gear down. I just have to remember to reset all switches to off before starting a new round/game. I the program does need to be running in the background (you can minimize it) for it to operate.

Sorry for the late response PropNut. I did play around with SVMapper for a short time and whilst I love its simplicity, the restriction of four maximum inputs killed it instantly in my situation.
I'm now playing around with Xpadder with its 16 input capability.

Does SVMapper just allow you to capture joystick button inputs and send them as keystrokes to a specific application?

tnx.

Yes. That's pretty much it. I would say it doesn't even send it to a specific application. Just whatever application is the active one. So if notepad were the active application, the characters mapped to your controller buttons would show up.

Would there be any benefit to an application that did what I was talking about? Something that could send multiple keystrokes for both button down and button up events? What about multiple joystick support?

Xpadder does just that. Assigns keystrokes for switches in their on and off positions. Also supports multiple joystick controllers. Dont be put off by the graphics which give the impression the software is for console type controllers only, it will work with any joystick controller and emulator type panels like the Leo Bodnar BU0836X etc.

Note: Assigning switches to different states such as toggle switches can not be done in the free version. The pay version (about $10) has advanced assignment features.

I purchased it Gene, I will run it through the simpit and let you know. What specifics other than toggles are you looking for (I am going to use about 40 toggles with it)..

Hi David

I would like to hear your experience as well. I have found it works well but I'm having difficulties running two identical Bodnar BU0836X controllers simultaneously. It can be done, I just haven't sorted it yet.
Take a look at this pit, being run by Xpadder using 11 Bodnar boards...very impressive

BTW guys, I feel this subject may result in quite a few postings. Can we perhaps continue this discussion under the recent thread in this forum titled 'Xpadder question'. Could be useful for future reference. thumbsup

I also have two BU836X's, so we will see how well it works.
