The C-17 were still flying today, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about.

A good friend of mine is C-17 aircrew up there, and knew everybody onboard that plane. Thankfully he's safe, but I know he's taking it hard right now. My thoughts and prayers will be with the family of the crew.
