Why would the Army want these when they have Humvees? Surely a Humvee is more solid?

So, what troops will you be carrying and what is their mission?

I'd hate to think what an IED would do to that.

No more than it would to an unarmored HMMWV, HEMTT, etc.

Yup, I hate to think what IEDs do to them too. I guess the military cant go all mine resistant but, it doesn't matter anyway. Now the followers of the kid touching prophet, aids be upon him, have taken to including incendiary chemicals in their IEDs. Someone I know in A-stan had to stand by and listen to his friend scream as he burned to death inside an MRAP a couple weeks back. 2 other dudes were severely burned trying to free the guys trapped inside. Thankfully, one of them was either already dead or knocked unconscious before he was set on fire.

I had one of the 1/2 ton Dodge Admin trucks, thing had 375K miles on it when it finally gave up the ghost.
Leaked oil like a seive but didn't smoke a bit.

The next generation of Dodge Power Wagons left over from WWll. It has a PTO and a movable winch for front or rear use.

Add a neckin' knob, rifle rack and a beer can holder and it's ready for civilian life. biggrin
