Hi guys,

I've just downloaded & installed Knug's Poland campaign from EAW Frontlines.
I've noticed that not all the polish squadron names are there.
I've checked the Sqnameuk file.
It shows:
111 Eskadra Mysliwska 112 Eskadra Mysliwska 122 Eskadra Mysliwska 121 Eskadra Mysliwska 131 Eskadra Mysliwska 24 Eskadra Rozpoznawcza 132 Eskadra Mysliwska 162 Eskadra Mysliwska 151 Eskadra Mysliwska 81 Eskadra Bombowa

However, when starting a Polish career, the selection is:
111 Eskadra Mysliwska
No. 56 Squadron
No. 181 Squadron
132 Eskadra Mysliwska
No. 401 Squadron
No. 611 Squadron

Also the dates for the campaigns seem to be set for 1943 (which is not a huge issue)

Cheers in advance

J

Sounds like you could be selecting the incorrect default campaign slot.

In the old days, these add-on campaigns used either the 43, 44, or 45 default slots. And it could be that the campaign was written for one of the other slots other than 43. This would normally be stipulated in the readme.

But that was for conventional campaigns. Not sure how Knug's is configured or if this is an aberation in one of the new OAW panel add-ons.

You shouldn't have to edit the campaign files.. Unless they're in error.. But I can't imagine Knug being that careless.

I had a brief look at the readme and noted this is actually a revision of Andy's old Poland campaign. At first glance, this is one I should familiar with. Question I have is, How have you installed it? Separate or using a file manager?

(going by rote from 8 years ago)

I've done a seperate install.
I've noticed a similar problem with Knug's Russian Campaign as well. All three campaigns (Op. Barbarossa, Caucasus & Hard Road to Berlin) have the same date issue. They seem to be taken the date from the original game campaigns.

Also, any idea of the polish squadron names?

Cheers

Skyclad,

When you go into the main campaign menu, what do you see? Or has the menu been modified?

The default game has a selection of three campaigns I believe showing for 1943, 1944, or 1945. I believe one of these defaults slots has been used as a substitute for the modded campaign. It might be a matter of selecting the correct default.

Problem solved!
Human error!

Because there was only one campaign to choose from, I stupidly didn't click on it. Now that I have. Every things fine.

Sorry for the trouble everyone!

Yes. That's mechanically what I meant. I remember a similar problem with Emil's Malta campaign. The modified campaign is set to select from one of the defaults. Since you didn't select anything on startup, the slot the campaign was written for wouldn't have been there - hence the errors.
