Fully agree on the 2-seater. In fact this is part of a wider issue mentioned in the "second look" article: the focus of the planeset. Since the primary focus of ROF is the final year of the war (judging from the game map), adding a Nieuport 11 or Fokker EIII seems a bit pointless. I'd much prefer more late-war additions (even if only as AI) before they start focusing on other periods.

That's the main reason why I stick to OFF for now.

But that new career mode looks too good to pass on, and with its squadron management and waypoint options it's a step ahead of OFF.

I'm most interested in the last Q/A. Looking forward to see a unfolded WW2 battle in the engine of RoF.

Great article!

I'm too holding off from ROF for various reasons, one is the campaign mode. This seems to be resolved nicely in the future. The squadron management reminds me of EAW days when I tried to bring my wingmen up in skills (and kills). The newspaperclips reminds me of another great old sim that kept me occupied - Knights of the Sky. I really loved those articles which did a lot to increase the overall feeling of being part of something larger.

Now I've at least ordered a Force Feedback joystick and sometimes this fall I'll get myself TrackIR. Then I'll be in business!

It's a shame that there's no flyable two-seaters coming but with the S.E.5, Camel and the coming Pup there's plent of fun to be had. (I really wish for the Bristol Fighter and Fe2d though)
