F'ing A Rick. Nice goin'! I'm a cat lover with four of my own ... rescues and whatnot. Unfortunately some of the cats in the pics look pretty close to spay and neuter time. It looks like you went out and hunted down every cat in the neighborhood!
Spaying and neutering will be done, we've got an organization nearby that does it for almost nothing. Mrs. Sauron will be calling them tomorrow (Monday).
They've been wormed, had their claws clipped, sprayed for fleas, and tomorrow when the farm store opens, I'll pick up Rabies, Feline Leukemia, Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia, and Psittaci vaccines and give the little boogers their injections.
So, all-in-all, they've been fortunate. They're getting everything they need. If we do decide to start finding them homes, the ones who go will be completely up-to-date on everything as well as spayed or neutered. And the ones who stay, of course, will be on easy street around this circus, LOL!
And now that they're all out of harm's way, I can get back to my sailboat coveting!
Cheers!
Rick...

Now stop that! Tonight I wouldn't be surprised if there were three or four or maybe more cats yowling outside your window. Forewarned is...uh...warned. So there.
Nice pics Rick. You and Mrs. Sauron are good folks, looking after these little ones.

I know!, I've started to wonder what sauce would be good for marinating them too.

Dude, I just ordered Chinese food before I started reading this thread- NOT cool!
Sauron, good on you with saving those poor kittens. My folks get a lot of that in their community too, especially as families are hit hard by the recession. Unfortunately, the coyotes get most of them.

Those are quite a bit older than 6-8 weeks, I'd say about 4-5 months going by average sizes. Great looking cats, though, and they also look healthy judging by their eyes, ears (no signs of mites) and coats.
Here's my George - a 7 year old badass little 8lb scrapper!

Bastards! They should try it themselves to be dumped in such a manner!
If they are only 8-10 weeks old, they can be prone to "misbehaviour" of different kinds. The best thing for them would be to have the company of an older cat that can show them the do's and dont's of cats - just a heads up In Denmark it's illegal to take away the kittens from their mother, if they're not a least 12 weeks old for this very reason. To mee, they look a bit older than 8-10 weeks - do you know their weight?
We have three chihuahuas that we're all dumped in our area and we live a typical suburban neighborhood. I think with all the foreclosures now people don't even dump them they just leave the side gate open. We've even taken on a reputation as the pet suckers on the block we must have some scent that attracts strays. On Saturday I'm out front and a half pug/chihuahua comes running down the street and right up to me happily wagging his tail with no collar on. I determined he was too fat and friendly to be a stray, I said to myself "F**K NO I'm not taking another one in". I totally feel you though!
Rick your a good guy to take in those kitties. I agree with all the other posters on here that say that people who abandon animals should be horse whipped (Chinese food jokes aside. LOL!). We adopted our 80 lb Lab "Buddy" this way as he was a stray with no tags, chip or any other ID on him. We love him bunches and vice-versa. He is all ours now and a true member of the family. To me that is his previous keepers loss. I wouldn't have it any other way.
We took in a stray dog in November. A 4 or 5 year old female Samoyed. Same thing, no collar or tags and just roaming the neighborhood. She is the friendliest dog and has a great disposition. She is huge compared to our male sheltie though. She's part of the family now too.
