Barely made it in time for the air show since we got stuck in traffic almost from the get-go, with a 1:45 journey taking closer to 4 hours. Missed a couple of things which may have included a B-52, which was a bit of a pain. However, stiff upper lip and all that, I got there in the end.
I do wish I had a trade day ticket though, as the Raptor was showing off, but disappeared for the public days. I think there was supposed to be an A400M, but between the air display and the closing time, I couldn't get to it; it might have buzzed off earlier.
#1 - There was an historic display as we got in. Not sure what the monoplane is...
#2 - The super bug puts on a few moves with a useful anti-air payload;
#3 - The BBMF were here, although unlike SOME people I had to shoot from the ground
#4 - One of the more exotic types (only static though) was this JF-17 Thunder from Pakistan.
#5 - The Eurofighter pitches up to start it's display, loaded with all external tanks, 4 thousand pounder LGBs and the usual ASRAAMs;
#6 - The Red Arrows!
#7 - Mirror Image;
#8 - This King Air was doing a spot of barn-storming whilst the other aircraft were readied; on approach, it took an initially high line before diving for the deck;
#9 - The Vulcan. And boy is it loud.
#10 - All down and everything out. Gotta love that sound... at least while you still have eardrums!
#11 - A lineup of some of the non-BBMF aircraft involved in the classic warbirds display;
#12 - This must be a pokey little number to own.
#13 - A moody A380 with a flight of warbirds along the top.
