The tiny BOB map, time limits, and the overdone glare killed the game for me. I was hoping to come back when things improved, but I haven't seen to much activity from the devs for sometime.

I have enjoyed WOP very much and think the graphics are what SOW will need to come up too. I expect it will.

I had a blast flying these planes around, it could have been a more enjoyable experience, but I have no regrets

Oh yeah? How would I know that? I am not a clairvoyant. Are you?

Guess not. You are just WOP fanboy. Now go fly a kite!

You're probably one of those impatient kids bragging about being the first to have it,before awaiting any sort of review, and than put the blame elsewhere if it's not what you expected, right?
How did you know i fly kites?

Time limited missions and lack of FMB mean I play it rarely now, but enjoyed many aspects of it, and if they do a Pacific one I'll buy that.
I just wish it had come out a couple of years ago, before Black Shark and RoF, I would have had a lot more time for it.

Hands down if they release a new one with no time limits and a Full QMB and A FMB and Dedicated serverd for MP and COOP . I will buy it in a flash and I know a lot of people who will buy it too.
The new one will just take WOP's spot on tues nite in between Black Shark Mondays and Rof Wensdays ! LOL

So you will wait a long time... because as usual with their VERY VERY bad communication (we fans are just commodities with a bank account for them) , they just got a contract with Activision to do a remake of "Apache Air Assault" for console. Of course they didn't had the simple courtesy to tell their fans on the Youplay forum about this new schedule.

I bought it and I liked what I saw....at first.
WoP had a lot going for it. But the gameplay really let it down. I never felt I was in a sim.
Granted the textures and effects were very well done and if we could have got this in IL2 I would have been very happy. However after a while I soon tired of it. The career mode is very FPS orientated and I half expected to find a powerups somewhere in the missions.

It's a shame I would have liked to see the title open up and become more like IL2, instead it went the way of extra aircraft rather than mission builders and a more realistic sim approach.

It's now uninstalled.

So you didn't like the single missions either? You played that with limited fuel/ammo and set to simulation difficulty?

Just checking, a lot of people never even unlock Sim difficulty or play the single missions. That's the meat of the game. The rest just builds you up to that.

I would never use it in any other way than in simulation mode. With limited ammo and set at difficult. However I'm not interested in playing single missions unless they are linked into an interesting campaign.
All this complete this objective before you can move on in a mission or campaign is an immersion killer
