last night I only saw the bobII stuff on the front page... maybe I needed to clear my browser or something? anyway, great sceenshots!

According to the gorums at the steel beasts website, the chally isn't playable, its AI only. Surely there is a vehicle that a user can enter and shoot the weapons in an update rumored to cost 25 US dollars?

Oh yes, there will be new vehicles with crew positions. We have plenty of time in the coming weeks to present you all the new elements in the coming version. This is far from being everything.

I for one believe that their are currently enough crewable vehicles too keep me busy for some time to come...

I would rather see some shadow implementation at some point cause everything looks so 2-dimensional without them!

While there are crewable vehicles, it seems reasonable to expect new crewable vehicles in a 25$ upgrade. Who would feel satisfied with an AI Challenger and a new Ural model and some bug fixes? Where is the beef? If its all about tactical reality, forget the shadows, fix the fiery orange ATGMs.
I'm concerned with what I've seen thus far, that's all.

I'm not sure what you mean here. I guess your asking whether I actually read the posts, or do I just compose replies based on the response to some neural spasm. Then adding the "new guy" suffix to assert yourself as all the things your forum signature denotes. OK fair enough, I guess. Are you also on the Steel Beasts dev team? Is that why you took my post so seemingly personally?

Believe me, I come in peace. My point was that Charlie901 indicated there was enough crewable vehicles already and he would rather see something like shadows added. My feeling was that for an upgrade to a combat vehicle sim it should include a combat vehicle(s) that a guy could "use" IE crewable, and that for tactical reality sake, I would rather see something like the ATGM graphics addressed, rather than (yes, desirable) shadows.

I'm trying to play nice here, Magnum. Relax. I'm just looking for answers that weren't available over at SB .com (until recently)

Don't mind Magnum, his bark can be worse than his bite. There is, however, a video of him getting tasered on the net if you wanna see him in a compromising position, it may help you feel better...

We're on day three of five weeks with daily updates. I understand that you're anxious to get everything all at once, but, well, I rather take my time in appreciation of the hard work that others in the team put into all this. These are the only weeks where they get some elevated attention while otherwise slaving away anonymously in their dungeons, so...

Buildings look great. Nice skins. Troops will make the urban areas very dangerous now. Can the appropriate ATGM teams fire from the buildings?

There are only few that have a soft launch capacity - Javelin for example - but they should be able to fire. I must admit, I haven't tested this myself yet.

Darn, I just bought the first patch a couple days ago, and now I need to buy another patch when apparently I could have waited and got both for the price of one? At least it's quality stuff.

Those new buildings look really good btw.
