I just got an offer via post for the Home and Student version for £59.99. I was wondering though if anyone has tried it? I seem to remember there wasn't much improvement on the last version.
I'm using OpenOffice at the moment, but I really do miss the "familiar" Word and Excel... I don't mind shelling out the cash --- if it is worth the money.

Yeah, I used the 2003 and 2007 versions before and aside from the pain-in-the-ass compatability between .doc vs .docx and .xls vs .xlsx, the grouping made no sense to me. Ok, so they grouped it... and I felt so lost....
Is the "grouping" still in 2010 then?

Worse, it has pervaded over to other programs like Outlook. Although after using it for a while, I rather enjoy the ribbon.
IMHO the changes to Outlook 2010 are very nice. I like threaded messages and being able to minimize all the crap on the left and right of the main message window.
