I drive a Toyota Corrolla because it's not too big, gets great gas mileage and it was within my budget when I was car shopping a few years ago. For me a car is all about practicality. Until the gas pedal sticks and you drive into a wall. Luckily it's a 2004 model and not one of those affected by the faulty brakes!

Some really nice rides here. Love the Z4 Beamer, but that must have cost you an arm and leg, KS? Depends! Actually the Z4 wasn`t a big success due to the Bangle design, which most love or hate, there is not much between. When I bought it, it was a little under 2 years old and had run 10k km. It was driven practically only one year and then stood nearly a year at the dealer. I watched it on mobile.de for some time and when the price dropped I finally stepped in. It must have been around 49k when it was new and I bought it for 29k including 2 years of service. My Miata was bought for a reasonable price

1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe. I have had it for 8 years and not one problem. 148,000 miles on it and it still gets 32-34 mpg in my mixed city-highway driving without using a drop of oil between changes. It's not the fastest thing in the world but it is a manual (won't drive anything else) and handles pretty good so it's fun to drive. Also, there isn't a spot of rust on it which is pretty good for a car that has endured 12 Ohio winters.

Mazda Miata is a very highly rated little sports car but I sat in one and it was way too small for my 6'3" frame. In fact, I have seen it rated No.1 sports car in the world on Speedvision based on price to performance ratio. For myself, I would prefer a McLaren F1 or AstonM DB9. Yup, it`s very small, which was finally because why I`ve sold it. But heel of fun to drive, it`s sooooo responsive. And it litarally told you, how the street was. I often got on the nerves of bikers `cause they simply couldn`t shake me off on curvy streets. I still miss it at times, as the Z4 isnt that responsive and weighs around 250 kg more. OTOH I wouldn`t really call it a sports car as it lacks power, I had the 146 hp version and you really have to rev the engine to keep the horses going, below 4,500 rpm their isn`t much happening. The Z4 is a little more roomy and the engine is a dream, very smooth and with 218 hp and 1,385 kg, it`s a very fast car.

Magnum, the next time I take a weekend drive down to Nipples with Mrs Grognard I'll let you know. Maybe you could arrange it so I could let the Jag stretch her legs a bit.

Oh man. I Wish I still had my '97 Miata. Last year of the first gen. Never thought I could love a car like I loved that thing. Kept making excuses to go to the mountains. Twisties were just heaven. If you can't drive a Miata fast, you can't drive anything. I also just loved all the quirks and rattles, the austere interior, not to mention good mileage.
Nowadays, I ride bicycle and Ninja250 almost exclusively. We have a 2000 Ford Focus that mostly just sits around, but sometimes I have to ferry the ankle-biter here and there, so we haven't sold it.
Wife has the nice car, since she actually drives to work. '08 Taurus X. Kinda a van/crossover thing. I really like it, the aforementioned Sync is great, AWD and stability control makes her feel safer, plus its built like a tank on that Volvo XC90 platform. Holds baby, pitbull and all the crap they need when we travel.

Due to my having been bent, folded, spindled, and mutilated in the line of duty, they medically revoked my driver's license a long time ago, when they informed me that I would be retiring from the military. The Lioness does all the driving for me, and I bought her a 2010 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior for that purpose, because it can make it up my driveway without running aground, and it'll haul a horse trailer without breaking a sweat. Aside from that, there's an older Ford pickup and a terribly boring SUV, nothing particularly noteworthy in either of those cases. And then there's my '62 Ferrari GTO which I can only run out there on my private road course, and the Aston Martin specially prepared for me by Q, and of course my Vincent Black Shadow. And in the hangar I've got the pimped out personal T-38... Cheers! Rick...

That second one looks like a pimp mobile with all the lights. They should make you wear one of those low brimmed fedoras when you are out on patrol in it.

I drive a 2006 Mazda 3 (2.3L GT model) my wife and I settled after many good reviews and much research and we love the compact car with styling of a full size. Has nice lines and is pretty efficient and not to mention reliable (this car will run 100K before any minor problems yet alone major). So far its been a great car, a little noisy on the freeway at higher speeds (concrete HWY especially) and the air conditioner can take a while to cool the car on a hot day, other than that no complaints. Highly recommended.....

My DD is a '97 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) Sport. 4.0, soft top, half doors, pretty much stock and can still run the trails with the big dogs. Wife's ride is a '01 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (4.0L). Just bought a '91 Dodge W150 4x4 from my nephew for $200 because he said it needed some work. Serviced everything (all fluids were low), changed the oil, air filter, and added fuel injector cleaner to the gas and it runs like a champ. I think I got a pretty good deal...and I had been wanting a truck for the farm. All vehicles are paid for and I'm not looking for anything new anytime soon.

Was Dodge even running EFI in 91? Or was 90 the last year for carburetion? I'm assuming it has the 318? I still like that body style, and the Dodge charcoal/silver w/red pinstripe paint scheme still looks nice to me.

Mine is a MK3 facelifted model,I am 6ft and have no problem with it. It is bigger than the MK1/2. It was on the showroom floor at Mazda dealer and that was just last August so was latest model up to last August. I heard the center console crack a bit as I tried to get out of it. It was way too small for me. 6'3" is quite a big dif compared to 6' in a car.
