Congratulations Jason on the aquisition of Rise of Flight. I can't think of better hands that it could be in.

I'm very thankful to Neoqb for picking up the Gennadich team and taking the game this far. Especially as they are a large company with many other interests, and that flight sims are hardly critical to them. All things considered though, they seemed to do very well in giving GT and RoF their first leg up in the industry. I reckon they deserve a pat on the back for that.

Now though, RoF's future seems so much the better. Being owned by someone who believes so passionately in the cause will be great for all of us and no doubt a huge boost to the development team as well. I've really appreciated all the efforts you've put into the title so far. Your presence on the boards has been especially great. Kind of like old-testament Oleg smile Your habit of keeping players in the loop with regards to development issues and future releases is such a rarity in this hobby, and all the more precious because of it.

I'm proud to have owned Rise of Flight right from the start. I'm also proud to be able to support it further with ongoing releases. In such a niche hobby, we all have a vested interest in seeing RoF succeed. It makes it much more personal. More than anything it really feels like my sim. I guess a lot of people here feel this way.

So all the best to you Jason. I hope the arrangment is a huge benefit to you both. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for Rise of Flight. In the meantime, I'll enjoy reading some of the more bizarre interpretations of these events that some people are posting.

These are great News! NeoQbe was lacking a good business plan and strategy... Nice to see 777 and Jason involved as we know how much you care about simulator! Nice move, Jason!

Few little questions:
1/ Do you plan to change the way we will acquire the new addons? like the release of new packs of planes for old buyers and not just based on (expensive) 1 planes at a time.
2/ Is the career mode a priority for the team at the moment? IMHO, it's the biggest lack of this great game so far: we need more SP immersion and a more complete career mode "a la Red Baron".
3/ is a terrain graphic update planned in the future? (less blend, more details, bump mapping, etc...)

Now, if you could do the same with "Wing Of prey" future!!! Graphically, WOP was a true uppercut in the plexus in the world of simulators: fantastic graphics from all altitude, great lighting (except the odd monochromatic filters), great effects, decent physics engine... but sadly it was too much arcade oriented. It's a real shame that the devs didn't see the potential of their graphic engine to develop a DECENT simulator. But this graphic engine could be a real phoenix for an good old sim like Red Baron 3D: Just imagine the depth of RED BARON with the graphic of WOP: an INSTANT WINNER! maybe you should dig in this direction: classic old simulators (Ace of Europe/ Ace of Pacific/F117/f14 Navy Defender/Jane's simulators/etc...)were MUCH MORE indepth and quality remake using the "original" code and a new generation graphic engine like WOP would make them wonderfully attractive to all of us. Just think about it!, Jason!

Well I just heard the news, so I thought I'd pop in here to express my fond congratulations to Jason also!

For the record, I did the the introduction work between Jason and Neoqb through VikS and Max, because I believed Jason to be a forthwith type of guy (and a hungry one too). In this type of business, I believe a person's character can carry someone a long way.

Here's hoping you much success Jason in taking the ROF system to even greater heights in the future!

Jason, definately good its you and not someone else. Im happy the project will be in the hands of someone who genuinely cares about the sim and those who fly it.

Great news. Fantastic that someone from the SimHQ community is taking the helm of this amazing sim we care so much about.

Congrats, Jason.

Salute!

Just curious. Now that Neoqb will no longer be financing RoF development, will the development team go back to being known as Gannadich Team? Or is there another name that they will get?
