just installed SDOE: WWI and noticed an odd problem.

I have a Thrustmaster and that joystick has what amounts to two throttles. I can't seem to get the one I normally use to be accepted and the program's default seems to be to use the other one (which is sort of inconvenient to use due to its design).

How do I switch over to the other throttle?

Ah this is easy now.

Center all of your joystick's axis.
Run the FS-WWI Launcher program that came with the All-In-One.
Click on Control Assignment Editor.
Then click on Edit Axis Assignments.
Click the controller you want to use (If you have more than one joystick plugged in).
Click the Throttle Button and then click Change Axis Assignment at the bottom.
Move your desired throttle control.
Save and Exit.

Very strange - I followed the procedure for changing the throttle assignments and now SDOE:WWI won't continue past the first screen; I keep getting an "abnormal program termination" error.

I'm running on Vista and it was working properly before I began messing around with the control assignments.

Ah, you can rename Keyboard.dft to Keyboard.inp (Delete Keyboard.inp first) That is in the same folder as the App.exe file (Should be like C:\Program Files\FS-WWI\SDOE FS-WWI Patch 1.6.0.6\)

This should get the game working again.

Now on to fixing the throttle... You can launch the "Joystick Utility" and then select your stick from the pull down box. Now move the throttle you want to use, note which bar is moving and then note the axis listed to the left of it. Now you can hand edit the Keyboard.inp file in Wordpad and place that axis name in for the inpThrottleAnalog entry.

ArgonV, I changed the Keyboard.dft file to Keyboard.inp but I still keep getting the "Runtime error: abnormal program termination" error message.

Zoiks! Ok the backup is hosed, which is what the Control Assignment Editor uses as its base. Probably a corrupt bit got flipped somewhere along the way.

What's your e-mail I'll send you a fresh keyboard.inp file?
