If 2 different design teams wanted to make a supersonic airliner,would they come up with something similar because that is the best shape? You can't help but think about the B-29 that the Russians got hold of and copied wholesale,even down to the 'Boeing' on the foot pedals.The Tu-4. _________________________ I borrowed a book on surgical procedures from my local library today. GrayGhost Senior Member Registered: 12/17/03 Posts: 3426	The Tu-160 is not a copy; it is larger, and much faster than a B-1 as well. That it happens to look the same - who cares. F-15's and Su-27's look the same (sort of at least - 2 wings, 2 engines, 2 tails, single pilot? ) and yet they don't perform the same. _________________________ -- 44th VFW
