So, I plan on installing the CD version tonight and I want to confirm steps for a bug free install...

1.Install EEAH
2.Run once to unpack
3.Install 1.1E patch
4.Install EECH
5.Install 1.4.1C patch
6.Install 1.13.0 All Mods

Thank you!

I believe you need another step between 3 and 4, which is to run EEAH again. At least that's what the instructions say: http://www.eechcentral.com/wiki/index.php?title=Installation_guide_with_EEAH

Thanks!

How is the new Apache avionics mod coming? smile

Trying to DL 1.13 all mods and I am only getting 130 of 705 megs.

Is there another source besides eech Central?

Thanks!

This is what I did for a clean install. I never ran EEAH a second time, and never ran EECH until everything was installed. You will have to configure your eech.ini on completion as previously stated if you want the nice GFX quality

I presume EECH Central has a guide on tweaking the ini for max graphics?

Thanks!

Hey, UT - I think you want to at least make these settings adjustments in your ini. I think these and others are mentioned in the read me or faq or used to be. They are needed for good graphics as the new EECH is intended:
texture_colour=1
texture_filtering=1
mipmapping=1
dynamic_water=1

Let us know what you think about these and other aspects of EECH, from a fresh perspective. Good to see you.

Uh - oh. Took this from the materials on the EECH Wiki! The entry says it is a toggle, and I incorrectly assumed that meant o - off, 1 on.

But thanks for the correction. Wiki update or clarification time?

Chaddog sent me his ini file and I copied it over. I am amazed at the graphics and arneh Longbow avionics conversion is running neck and neck with DCS A-10c for piece of software I am most excited about.

Gonna be looking for some MP soon so, get ready smile

.

I just reinstalled and looking fwd to playing out one of the campaigns. Its been a long while. The install procedure w/ the [C] patch added is much appreciated. Couple of weird things for me.

I'm running at 1650-rez and loose my cursor - a lot ! Anyone else see this?

And when I first edited the .ini with the texture updates I got a kewl new UI with Comanche pix. Logged off, came back into game and the vanilla UI is now there. How do I get the Comanche one?

Thanx for any help !

I changed it at:
http://www.eechcentral.com/wiki/index.php?title=Eech.ini#Graphics_and_Textures
http://www.eechcentral.com/wiki/index.php?title=Troubleshooting#Graphics

Did you find it anywhere else?

Yes, it dissapears from view sometimes when outside of 1024x1024 area. But don't know a solution.

By default it will randomly use a theme of background images. So you'll get different ones each time.

It happens to me know and then, Just Alt+TAB out and back into the game. EECH does not crash anymore with Alt+TAB like it used.
