Newbie here with a love of flying biplanes. I owned a DH82a Tiger Moth for some time.
Now I want to buy and fly OFF. Have just bought a new gaming computer, logitech g940 and trackir 5. Now I need the soft bits. What do I buy seeing there is more than one title in OFF?
Also am in Australia so best place to buy would help,

Jerry

Hi jerry,

In short order:

OFF P3 (Between Heaven and Hell) is the most recent iteration of OFF as a series. OFF P1 and OFF P2 preceded it and were freeware, but AFAIK weren't a patch on the latest version, but were quite good by all accounts.

OFF P3 is available only from the makers on DVD from http://www.overflandersfields.com/info.htm, with the optional Hat in the Ring add-on available from there also as a download. You don't need HitR, but it adds aircraft and some very nice improved bits and bobs.

The delivery time for the DVD seems to be about 7-10 days. If you're buying OFF, I'd strongly recommend Trackir if you don't already own it - basically, it turns head movement into on screen movement, so you don't have to bugger about with keypad views and suchlike.

There's a more substantial presence of OFFers (and the developers, no less) over at www.combatace.com, where you can pick up an awful lot of helpful information from the people who lurk there.

Good luck and hope to see you over Flanders!

Cheers,
Si
