Blue Cheer were cool snakeeyes, great band.
Heres Joplin with her version of "Summertime", she was amazing and shone so bright. Wish she could have stayed around a little longer.
John Martyn with a great live version of a Skip James blues jam (originally "Devil got my woman"......trademark echoplex effects and it fecking rocks). John Martyn was a loose cannon too with serious addictions and more often than not loaded; great guitarist and writer though. Blows the Floyds Dave Gilmour out the water IMO (they played together quite a few times, Clapton and others too), Gilmour would probably tell you the same himself. RIP big man.
Tim Minchin is a hoot Lieste, very funny. My fave Floyd records atm are Saucerful of Secrets and 'Piper at the gates of dawn', hehe. Loved the Syd era, shame he lost the plot though. Still......shine on you crazy diamond.
