Qualifying Reminder

The qualifying session time has been advanced to 15 minutes. This should allow drivers to come out of the pits, run the partial lap, then one complete lap. After you get the one lap time, esc off the track.

Upgrade Reminder

Be sure and select the "4-hour Endurance Race Package".

Restart Reminder

Be ready to go at the start! Only one restart allowed and we will not be able to get you in if you crash at the start of the race. If necessary, cold boot at the start of qualifying and stay on the server.

The skin set is now available for Sunday's SimHQ GreenHell 2.5 Endurance Race. It is much smaller than previous downloads because it includes only the new skins.

Starting Procedure for GreenHell 2.5

1) Driver call-up

2) Standing start

3) Slowly roll-off the grid at the green lights and horn

4) Maintain a single-file offset formation until coming out of Turn 12

5) Reposition to 2x2 formation and gradually increase speed

6) As the pole sitter approaches/goes under the Bilstein bridge, race control calls "Green!Green!Green!" and the race is on.

Be sure and remove any other Nordschleife tracks from your \rFactor\GameData\Locations\ folder, and remove any .hat files from \rFactor\UserData\LOG\HAT\ You will see several variations of track layouts and weather conditions in the rFactor track selection. The specific one we will be using is the "Ring - ADAC Zurich 24h". Note the patch "24h Layout AIW Patch (for fuel and paddock)" has been added to the download so you do not need to add it.

Surely we're not going to do a formation lap at the 'Ring? I mean, I know they do one at the real 24-hour race, but still...

I am sure we will do the "easy" standing start and then a "go go go" at a predetermined point on the track. Hopefully we all take it easy after that until things settle down a bit as it's a looong way back to the pits if damaged.
