Hi Ice
No need to worry about your flying skills, we have no strict " you must be an ace" rules to join and fly - the idea is that flying online allows you to learn much quicker and have fun along the way.
We have some excellent trainers and a complete program, to take you from the basics all the way to an ace.
Hi HomeFries,
We fly F4 Allied Forces only, at this stage - we do have a unique twist on flying campaigns tho, which helps to spice things up a bit.

With the temporary loss of Frugals and the associated squadron recruiting forum, the opportunity for squadrons to recruit new members from the Falcon community is unavailable at the moment. To that end the 801st Tactical Fighter Wing is seeking new recruits to join our group - if anyone is interested, please take a look at our website for further details: http://forum.801sttfw.com/Regards Rebel Also at the 1st VFW recruiting window is now open. http://firstfighterwing.com/joomla/and go the recruiting page. Training with lot of material and docs, lift courses,MP flights with up to 24 human pilots, FoF, dedicated TS server, dedicated Falcon server, Forum, pilots from all continents. We use AF and OF falcon versions.

Anyone looking to join a fighter wing should consider joining two at a time and see which one they like best. That way you can compare the different styles and not feel like you've put a bunch of time into just one fighter wing only to be disappointed weeks later having to look for another to join. I certainly agree with that point Coco - the 801st TFW has no rules regarding membership and flying with other Wings/Squads, but that doesnt mean that we are not an organised or structured group. Whilst we ceratinly enjoy a bit of fun, our pilots are very serious about their flying and mission/campaign performance. What the 801st can offer is a great place for new pilots to learn and train along side our experienced pilots, as well as providing an excellent opportunity to join a group of experienced pilots who like to make the most out of Allied Forces. As a flyer of Falcon 4 since the very early days, I believe that flying Allied Forces is still the best way to get started in this great sim, particularly in multiplayer, where some of the less fancy graphics compared to OF or FF are compensated for by ease of setup and connection, and the great fun of flying online with a group of like minded people. Guys - if you are considering these offers but perhaps wavering due to not possessing a lot of confidence in your flight skills, avionics, and so forth - please consider this: there is arguably no better way to learn sims than by getting together with willing and supportive other guys who are not only knowledgeable but good teachers. So many things that are frustrating or unclear on the page of a manual and when you are alone in the pit, are instantly cleared up with a friend talking it over in pre-flight or in the air. And it is a truly fun and satisfying experience. Plus, they can't hit you!
