Anyone have the Iris F-14 canopy fix file on hand? They don't host it on their site anymore and I've long lost my backup copy. The file in question is (canopy_reflect.zip) I've Googled it and nothing is coming up. I'm sure someone out there is bound to have it on hand.
Thanks.
Jim

Find the glass file and delete it. Don't forget to back it up first.

IRIS have made the very short-sighted opinion to go FSX only FSX > FS9, even from a developer's viewpoint. FSX simply offers way more capability of doing stuff.

IRIS have made the very short-sighted opinion to go FSX only, leaving more people in the dust than those that are FSX-centric. It's their loss.
I'll look around for the file for you. I'd appreciate that greatly. Thanks, Jim

Find the glass file and delete it. Don't forget to back it up first. Deleting it fixes the issue? Any idea what file I should look for?

Maybe it was just renaming it that solved it. It was 3 years ago. I would attempt to locate the file first in the textures folder, and find the one that is just gray, or smokey. That should be your guy. Just rename it and check it out. If it's not the right one and your cockpit is still covered in gray sheet, then just select another plane, try a different file, and reselect your F-14 to fix the problem.

From a developer perspective, I suppose. But if you build it in the commercial world, it doesn't mean people will automatically come. You can make the best add on for FSX and tout it's greatness, but if I don't have a very good reason to migrate from FS9 to FSX (unless losing 20 fps is a good reason?), then.... IRIS have made the very short-sighted opinion to go FSX only FSX > FS9, even from a developer's viewpoint. FSX simply offers way more capability of doing stuff.
