Found the TM Cougar MFD's in the US at a very cheap price... https://www.antonline.com/p_Thrustmaster--2960708--New-Thrustmaster-USB-Cockpit-Panels-_789788.htmGot to my home in 3 days. I like them, they are pretty sturdy, and definitely cool and useful. A good addition for any sim fan. -Skater

I bought a couple TM MFDs to use with FC2, Black Shark, Falcon 4. As above, I got them from Antonline -- via Amazon. I like Antonline prices and shipping in general and buy stuff from them via Amazon. The MFDs arrived last week and are sitting in front of me.
As mentioned above, they are sturdy. Nicely lit for use in a dark room.
They do not come with separate programming software. One has to use the in-game controller screen to program them -- which seems fine for FC2 and BS, so far.

I have tested my MFDs with some flight sims to see if the sim's keyboard assignments could be assigned to an MFD button: IL2 Forgotten Battles AEP-Yes, Falcon 4.0-Yes, Wings of Prey-Yes, Microsoft CombatFS 3-No, Microsoft FSX-No (?). I need to double check the MFDs with FSX as I would think they should work together..the first time I tried FSX did not recognize the MFDs. I use the MFDs along with a ZBoard Merc The Merc has a great gaming keyboard setup that allows for simple trim for all three trim axis. The "Fang" would be good. http://shop.steelseries.com/us/index.php/keyboards-us/steelseries-merc.html site.

Just re-check MFDs at FSX (Demo version) and worked. I noticed a 1-2 sec delay during first assignment, but after that was OK. http://www.hotas.gr/fsx-mfd-1.jpg you have to edit again! There is an "e" at the end of URL

How are the "switches" on those things? Do they hold their position or are they just two way buttons?

335th_GRSwaty... Well, I tried the MFDs on FSX. Yes they are shown as available "controllers" along with Cougar. But, I am not able to achieve an asignment of an FSX key to an MFD button.. I am definitely missing something.

335th_GRSwaty. Well, I tried my MFDs with FSX again, several times in fact...no luck. The MFDs do show up as available "controllers" but I am unable to assign a FSX key to a MFD button. I am definitely missing something. Probably something really obvious that I can't see..bah.

335th_GRSwaty: No. In fact, I have no idea what an instrument extractor is. I am a newbie in the flight sim arena. I am going to check the web on that.. sounds interesting.

335th_GRSwaty: Speaking of IL2, Forgotten Battles implemented the MFDs in what I would consider a superior way. Not only is the specific button identified, e.g. "OSB06" but so is the specific MFD unit where, say "1" is the joystick, "2" is left MFD, and "3" is the right mfd. For example, you get a button id as "OSB06ID2" the ID 2 saying that it is the left MFD, in this case. So far, I cant tell which MFD was used when I look at FSX assignments. Labeling the MFD paper templates is fine, but looking at the FSX "controls" screens I can't tell if e.g. button "06" was the MFD1, MFD2, Or Thrustmaster joystick button. I know of at least one other sim that implemented the MFDs like in IL2 Forgotten Battles..but forgot which one it was that I saw.
