Hello pilots!

I actually found my longbow2 CD from 10 years ago. I decided why the hell not and fired it up...got it to work almost immediately, with the glide wrapper...etc.

I was able to get TrackIR working using the trackmapper and it works when I pan for exterior and other views. The problem is I can only pan around from the Helmet (or free head movement?) view. Pressing F1 for the front cockpit view...I was not able to pan around...is the correct?

BTW - Flyboy thank you so much for keeping this SIM alive, your posts , along with a few others...really made the install and setup really easy. I can't believe I can play Longbow2 on a Windows 7 computer!! Janes is amazing!

Hi, welcome to the forums!

Yes it is correct that you cannot pan the 2D cockpit views (F1). They are fixed and you can only pan the 3D views - like you said - the virtual cockpit view (F4) and external views (F5, F6, etc).

Glad you could get the sim working, and hope you don't get those dreaded game freezes like I do!

I have not been able to fly that much yet, just trying to get it setup. Everything worked pretty good. It did freeze one time when I tried to alt-tab to my desktop.

Yeah, nowadays it's not a good idea to ALT-TAB out of LB2. I believe the problem is exacerbated if you are using a glide wrapper.

I would like to get this to work with TRackIR 5 and I have the KAF Trackmapper set up a and made changes to the CA.ini file as suggested (linera speed to 150 etc etc), but when I activate it in game it moves rapidly to either extreme side or is very very choppy and slow. Anyone have this working well with this TRackIR 5?
