According to this story on Planet Battlefield, if enter the code you can get it as a download for $20. Must be a US only offer because I tested it and came up with Code Error but I'm in the UK. http://planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/"EA Store $20 OFF $40 - BF: Bad Company 2 (PC) $20+tax Link: http://eastore.ea.com/
Promo Code: PAXEAST842
I just got BF: Bad Company 2 for $20+tax
Could be used for other games, but this was a no-brainer since it's stacking with the already $10 off.
Enjoy!"So if you want to join in the fun we are having on the SimHQ servers then now is the time

If they just sell a key, how do you get the actual files?

If they just sell a key, how do you get the actual files? not torrents (although i suspect it would work that way also) - you download EA's version of steam called EA download manager - make an account inside that application and then activate your game with cd key you received, then you get the option of downloading the game install files locally.... only drawback to this (as far as my research goes) is that you have exactly one year to install the game first time with the cd-key you bought.....

So did I. My sniper loved Wake Island. I remember one shot taking down a helicopter as it was trying to cap a flag. I got 5 kills with that one shot because it was loaded.
I really do think this game is better. The only thing I don't like about it is that we can't go prone. If we could, then I would play a sniper again.

Yeah this was a great deal, I had tried the beta but was sort of meh on it due to the laggy servers and poor accuracy and everyone running around like headless chickens... so I decided to wait to buy it until it came down in price (have too many games to play anyways).
When I saw this $20 deal I bit, and I sure am glad I did, it's been a blast to play BFBC2 now that I can pick good servers, and especially once I started unlocking specials and ranks and my accuracy is increasing, also hardcore servers have been fun.
Still learning the new play style, but really liking this better than BF2 which had too many snipers, glad they had the deal so I could join in on the fun relatively early.
