I have two favorites
The Hurricane from O'Briens in New Orleans. A couple of those, and you'll be primed for Bourbon Street.
The Irish Wake from McGuire's Pub in Destin Florida. Couldn't tell you what is in either of them besides pure awesomeness.
OVER....Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

sometimes I add an ice cube to my Jack Daniels, but that is about it, for me. Occasionally I'll have a gin and tonic with a friend we mow for, if we get his mowing last on Friday afternoon.

Long Islands are great. I also like Rusty Nails and a good Margarita. Nothing like a nice cold pitcher of margaritas, while you're sitting on the deck on a hot summer Sacramento night.

Nothing...and I mean nothing, sneaks up on you like a Long Island Ice Tea. They're so good, and you're enjoying it, and then you get up...and fall right down. Not that it's ever happened to me. And yeah, Margaritas and Gin and Tonics.

The blue Long Island iced teas are even better than the standard ones. It's called a Blue Motorcycle here and where I worked in IL. I went to visit a friend at Purdue and tried to order one in a bar there. They had no clue whet I was talking about so I told the bartender what was in it and she was like "Oh, that's a Blue Lightning" like I was an idiot. A guy I know came into the bar where I work one day and asked me if I could make an Irish Trash Can. I had never heard of it before and can't remember it exactly, but it was a Blue Motorcycle, but instead of using sprite you used Red Bull, and you leave the can in upside down and crushed.

Don't know how many of you guys are from SC, but I was down there helping my sister move into the dorm and my dad and I were sitting in a hotel bar when a guy came in and ordered a long island. This was back before SC had a law permitting free pouring of liquor from bottles. So to make a mixed drink they had to use the little airplane bottles. Once they opened a bottle though they couldn't use a little and save the rest for another drink, you either used the whole thing or threw it away. So a long island with 5 liquors got 5 full airplane bottles. The bartender just looked at the guy and was like listen, I want to tell you this ahead of time, this drink is going to cost like $20 but its also going to knock you on your ass. I am pretty sure the guy ended up with just a beer after that. I wish I had at least checked out the airplane bottle thing at some bars, but I never realized what it was until it ended about a year later.

Fjellbekk Or as my friends in Atlanta called it when I showed them how to make it: "The Big O" (as in Oystein, my name). I was gonna mention that drink Now I guess we gotta explain what it is to these ignorant foreigners Long Island Ice Tea comes in at a close second. Oh, for a quick mix, Jgermeister and Red Bull is great. It's a little on the sweet side, but it works It's usually just called a MacGyver, because it fixes everything - it gets you really drunk, and keeps you wide awake at the same time
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
