Yeah, but with BC2 I kinda moved on, plus all the stuff going on with IW and Activision I don't want to support Activision with my money in the future. But rumor have it that both Strike and Overgrown from MW1 will return. And I can't deny that sounds fairly interesting.

I didn't mind Overgrown but Strike is WAY too small. It was not one of my favorites at all.
If you play through the Spec-Ops mission in MW2, there are a LOT of maps that would make for a great add-on map pack. I hope they choose from some of those.

Sweet. I feel like I am just hitting my stride finally in MW2. I keep having better and better rounds lately (although with some moderate results and a few really bad ones sprinkled in). I managed to double my longest kill streak and have been getting higher average scores lately.

I'm glad one of the CoD4 maps is Crash and not Strike. Crash was a good map, even though it was a bit small.
They're long overdue for a map pack for this game IMHO.

Capping off a fairly terrible fortnight of news surrounding Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward comes word this morning that Modern Warfare 2's map pack is one of the most over-priced pieces of downloadable content we've ever seen.
Popping onto Xbox Live spokesman Larry Hryb's podcast to promote Modern Warfare 2's upcoming "Stimulus Package" map pack (which is launching first on Microsoft's console), Infinity Ward's Robert bowling revealed that the five maps - two of which are old maps being re-released for this game - will cost 1200 Microsoft Points.
Or, $15.
For five multiplayer maps.
Fifteen. Dollars. Or, if you're so inclined, £10, €14, or AUD$19.
Hoo boy.
EA has got to love this with the BF unlocks coming free that day.

Yeah, it's overpriced, for sure at $15. But, there are over 6 million people playing it. There will be a LOT of people willing to spend the $15. I'll be one of them.

Part of the problem is that they're re-releasing Killhouse and Streets...er...COD4 maps.  They're taking a line from Ubisoft and Rainbow Six that's best avoided. I always hated getting the same maps again, seemed like a missed opportunity.

Yeah, I'm disappointed that 1/3 of the maps are retreads - Crash and Overgrown - but Overgrown is a good map. I'm surprised they're not using more of the environments from the Spec Ops missions. There are some good candidates among those for MP maps.
At least it's not Container and Killhouse! Those maps flat-out sucked.

Same here [moved on to BFBC2], but I'll prolly get the new MW2 maps. I really like Overgrown and Kill House with friends.
