Slight correction, to avoid any misunderstandings. This should not necessarily be C:\Program Files\etc.. It depends, where your rfactor install is located and how the folder is named. This part here:

GameData\Vehicles\ILMS\Porsche997\2008 ILMS Porsche 997 RSR\skins

is totally correct.

Sorry, I work in IT and always try to keep in mind that not everyone is an experienced computer user. Hence I foresaw possible problems smile

Engine wear should not be a problem. With the 4 hour endurance upgrade minimum engine life is 3 hours. That is if you donīt go over the safe rpm limit which in the DBR9 is 9200 rpmīs.
I used the Pescarolo in the previous race and was redlining at the start/finish line, which was 2-3 seconds on the revlimiter every lap.

We presently have much more than 2-3 seconds per lap red-lined in the GT1's. What I'd like mostly is just a bit more top speed, right now they're a bit hobbled.

Guys, I know there is some tweaking that could be done in the gearing of these cars but I'd rather we not touch the default setups for this race.

If you're not familiar with the process, understand its not a single code setting. To change it for the cars means a custom separate profile for each car class (GT1, LM-P1, etc.) and each car entered (Vette, Audi, DBR9, Acura). Then test each one, transfer the setting to the server FavoriteAndFixedSetups.gal file, make sure each default setting is in the proper folder, then test everything on the server and make sure you all have tested it on the server. Its not the least bit hard to do, just somewhat tedious and takes time.

Joe is working on the assigned pit stall information and that in itself is enough of a variable for this event.

Is the max RPM not adjustable as it was for the Deuce2? It should be, so at least folks can lower the max RPM and stay away from the redline.

Feel free to do so, but I haven't spent hours on a customised skin just to change now into an LMP and I am not willing to spend more time for customising an LMP skin. Besides, time is up for that, deadline for a customised skin was the 19th.

Therefore this is simply no option for me.

purolator, I hear you man. Let's give it a few more days to see if we pick up some GT2 drivers.

Per LC's info above, I'll pick a different LMP1 instead of the audi, not sure which yet.

I just checked the garage setups and all of the cars, except the Audi, has the rpmīs lower than the safe rpm limit on the default setups.
Iīm thinking itīs a mistake on the Audiīs, either in the setup or in the engine file.

A reminder for everyone to select the 4 hour endurance race package in upgrades. Upgrades are not locked-down.
