So far that seems to be the case; it's one of those things where I was only fooling with career generated missions. I downloaded some "made from scratch" missions and they work as they should under their own folder.
I got them to play by fixing the SPAD models and placing an "end mission" MCU into them, giving a clean integrity check.
Something else is missing in them, though. I can get the mission to show the briefing and play if it is the only thing in a folder - and it doesn't show as an individual mission under the folder. I click the folder and the mission brief appears to the right, as if it is the mission title itself. If more than one mission is in there, it shows nothing, including a briefing.
I suspect its in the mission properities - a title or something not populating. This would make sense, as the career missions are designed to automatically launch when selecting "next" in the GUI. The option to select one of several just wouldn't be a concern (and might screw it up).
This could also be Patrick's issue as well, so maybe if I find out what the deal is the matter will be solved.
The manual for mission building is, um, difficult, as it seems to assume one knows something about scripting language. I'm just going to have to get up to speed on the skill set required; then again, its not Neoqb's problem that I signed up for a level 400 undergraduate class with just a High School diploma!
