I give it a "program the VCR/DVR" must.

And unless the series takes a huge nosedive, we'll be buying it on Blu-Ray.

It's not Band of Brothers. Same quality of production from the same people, but different, and deserves its own watching, if that makes any sense.

I preferred Band of Brothers because of the character development in the first one. It seems more thrown together in the beginning. Their is no training period like BoB where they are all learning together.

You remember in Forrest Gump where Forrest Gump is about to go to Viet Nam and then he goes to Viet Nam and there is a jungle and some rain and lots of walking and then there's some shooting and explosions and then it gets quiet again? It's like that, except no Bubba.

I can just see it now, a scene where two Japanese grunts are talking while they are building their entrenched positions.

Japanese soldier #1: "I love shrimp. Shrimp teriyaki, shrimp tempura, shrimp gyoza.....

No he is in NY running a CSI unit. He walks pretty good with those fake legs. Can't even tell they are fake.

On topic, I really like The Pacific at this point and will definitely keep watching.
