I just finished the campaign yesterday (360 version) and I liked it a lot more than the first one (which I never finished).
The audio is terrific, the ambient sounds, the voice acting is top-notch (if a little too humorous at times) and the graphics in the lush jungle environments are terrific.
Where the game fails, on the campaign level, is the truly awful friendly AI. You're supposed to be part of a squad! And yet, too often, your mates are cowering behind cover while you do all the dirty work yourself. I understand that the developers want the player to do most of the shooting but, damn, it would be helpful if just once in awhile Sarge or Haggard or Sweets would just shoot ANYONE while you're trying to get to your objective. I found the game very frustrating at times because the friendly AI just doesn't carry their weight at all. I can't count how many times I wanted to smash my controller through my monitor becuase I died while being shot from behind by an enemy who was in full view of the rest of my squad but they either missed the enemy or never bother to fire a shot.
That being said, overall, I enjoyed the campaign and I was glad it wasn't too long.
After all, MP is where this game shines. It took awhile to grow on me but I really like it. It's a bit unfair to compare it to CoD:MW2 because it truly has team-based objectives (although there IS a team deathmatch mode). Where this game does clearly have it all over MW2 in MP is the shear size of the maps. They are HUGE when compared to the "puny" maps in MW2. I'm glad the maps in MW2 are bigger than they were in CoD4 but they're still small when stacked up against the maps on BC2. IW, please take notice.
And, yeah, I wish there was some sort of limit on how many "snipers" there can be at one time. Sometimes the maps are just frickin' FULL of guys in ghillie suits.
The only other thing that bothers me about MP is the helicopters. They are nearly impossible to bring down and they can completely dominate a map with a good pilot and gunner. I think there need to be more/easier means of bringing them down.
