Event Details

SimHQ will hold the first race series of 2010 starting on Sunday, February 21st. The 4 events are intended for participants to spend 2 hours maximum and have lots of fun running, with a minimum of practice time. Two classes of cars will run together in each race: the '79 F1s and the Formula BMWs. Cars will have fixed setups with a few "free settings". There will be points for each class and an overall points championship. The '79 F1s will use the League Edition along with Ahmad's physics updater, and of course the BMWs are all equal being the same spec. (changed 2-14-10)

Guod, or anyone that can answer, what is the better type of car for more of a beginner (me)?

I have been practicing with the F1 car, but am still learning...

I guess one option would be to wait and see what all the 'good' drivers pick, and choose the other one wink

Anyway, regardless, count me in for this series, but I might not register until I get a chance to check out the BMW and see how I like it compared to the F1.

Cheers!

The Formula BMW is clearly the better car for beginners. The F1 '79 cars are some of the hardest to drive well that there are.

I'll take the F1 '79 #17 Shadow Dn9b.
