Thanks. I guess they'll put it up once it's over. Btw, I ran the French Tarmac Cup with that car you mentioned smile Certainly a lot better than the Impreza 95.

Great Ahmad. Yeah, I'm going to run that French Tarmac Cup sometime over the weekend. Working through the very extensive honey-do list that my co-driver gave me this morning smile Funny, on some of the shorter stages, my WRC (A8W) car feels much faster, but the N4 car is only a few hundredths of a second off. Amazing amount of grip on the WRC car.

Thanks for the info - translating the one on the website, whilst keeping the overall gist, can be difficult.

I am still stuck on RBR4, though, as I've not been able to get the 2010 mod working.

I'm registered on the Rallyesim system and get the control centre okay - it's just that when I try to race nothing happens. I can't even run it offline.

If I reinstall and just do the 1.02 patch and RSRBR4 - it works fine.

Confusing screwy

JonnyD, post a detailed description on what the issue is and what all you have tried installing on the main motorsports forum and maybe we can help sort it out.

If I was to venture a guess with the small bit of info you have left is that perhaps you don't have the car pack for the one you are trying to race with in Rscenter.

Will it start at all ...ie using one of the RBR.exe without RSCenter?

Thanks for offering to help.

I have been using the standard rally school of late, and everything works fine with that (I'm on Win7 Home 64) but that is with only RSRBR4 installed - which also works just fine.

I have the complete car packs (all-in-one) installed and I installed the lot as per instructions given. RSRBR2010 plus the 3 updates, in order, then the car pack.

The RS Center will start - so will the config apps, but RBR itself will not start from any shortcut, nor from RS Center.

I uninstalled it now - but I will install it again when I have sorted a problem with my wheel (the car is not reacting quickly enough, so the wheel prob needs calibrating - control was fine with my G25 previously).

I'll make a note of any issues and all steps taken and ask in the forum if I have similar issues next time - thanks again wink

JonnyD, one thing that I do to avoid any problems with UAC in Win 7 is to install games in a different folder than default. I have a c:\simulations folder, and likewise have installed RBR in c:\simulations\rbr. I wonder if that will solve your rbr launch failure? BTW, even with RSRBR 2010 installed, your original RBR icon and game should start normally.

Yes, that's all clear, Chipwich - I don't use UAC anyway.

RBR didn't work at all after installing the mod - but I have reinstalled it (alone) and it's working fine at the moment without any add-ons.

I'll have another go soon and see what happens. I've so much to do at the moment, with FC2 out and various other things going on (like practice for the Fuji race smile ).

As it happens, I never install any games or apps in C:\ - only on independant drives.

as an aside - I'm pleased that ATi Tray Tools finally works okay on 64 bit biggrin

I was having the same issue...everything works except the game itself after installing the 2010 patch.
I fixed my problem this way.
After you install original RBR MAKE SURE you run it once.
Then install the 2010 patch...worked for me. smile

Hi Parker and thanks for the tip.

I reinstalled 2010 today, but still no joy.

Everything appears to be running as it should, but the game screen stays black. I can hear the game running, and it responds to key input - but just darkness to see.

I'll have another read through the guide and see if I've missed anything.

RBR was running well, prior to the 2010 install with update 3.

Oh yes - it seems to be trying to run in a very low resolution. My set-up struggles at 800x600 and won't run anything less, so that might be the problem.

Okay - thanks for the assistance - I had not got the latest car pack updates (I got the links from another sim info site a short while ago - obviously the download info from there wasn't complete).

It's taken the whole evening to re-install, test a few times, completely uninstall, download all the latest stuff and then reinstall again! banghead
At least Galaga kept me busy during the downloads.

However, now it's working - and with the lazy steering sorted, too - it was totally worth it! thumbsup
