That's great you got it working, now get signed up at www.rallyesim.com for some online Rallys.

I like the France Cup, as it doesn't take much commitment, you can pick week-to-week on whether you want to race.

I'll have to have a look.

Just drove the one that comes up first yesterday - in Finland in the snow, and it was really fun.

Not sure about the championship stuff - I've been signed up at Rallyesim for months now - just couldn't get the game to work! rolleyes

Anyway - I'll try and get involved online.

Didn't notice if you included it, but there's lots of info HERE, which helped me a lot.

I have a couple of questions.

My head is swimming at the moment , with data overload, so please bear with me if this info is already on here, somewhere.

I have chosen cars for every championship available, and intend to drive as many as I possibly can.

1st - In the rally schedule, there is a column headed "Tyre adjustment".

The entries are either 'true' or 'false'. Is this regarding whether the tyres are chosen for you automatically? (when you have the option selected, which I do).

2nd - For the France Cup, you can choose a total of 3 cars. Can I drive whichever of the 3 I want to?

Last time, I chose 'Class 1' from the dropdown menu, after selecting the France Cup event, and used my Car 1. Is that right? Or could I use any of the 3?

1st: Dictates whether a driver can choose a different tire before the stage from the drop-down box. Once the tire choice has been made, you keep that until the choice is allowed again, usually the first stage of a leg or after a Service Park. So, if you think that it is going to rain, you could use an intermediate or wet tire.

2nd: The France Cup is a little unusual in that you can drive more than 1 car in a rally. Think of it as you bringing 3 cars to a rally, then running the rally up to 3 times, once each in a different car. I only use one currently, but thinking about a second to do some sort of recon for my Group N car biggrin You can drive any of your 3 cars as I understand it, but haven't put this to test.

Get in the habit of checking the road conditions are and the type of surface its on (gravel, tarmac, snow, etc) at the start and every leg until you can change them again.

Generally it will default to the standard tires for the first leg. So if Leg 1 is Good Conditions on gravel it will choose Dry Gravel Tires....however, if you have 4 more legs until the Service Park all in bad conditions then you sure don't want to be using Dry Gravel tires (been there, done that) smile

Ah, that explains a lot! duh

I've been driving very wet stages in the NZ WRC rally, with dry tyres! Now I know why it was so slippery! biggrin

Well, I pat myself on the back for getting to the end of legs 2 & 3, and now have a good excuse for having crashed out on Leg1, both sides of servicing! yep

Thanks for the info. I'll use the France Cup to test for my WRC upgrade.
