I usually choose good old american "chinese" food over most fast food joints when I'm looking to splurge on delicious and horrifying uber-calories. dumplings and general tso's chicken...but I don't get fried rice (see white rice saves you from your bad meal like a diet coke will save you from that big mac you just ate).
Interestingly, I like (original) Chinese food (especially Sichuan style) but on average twice per week my body shouts it needs Western food. Any Western food. Even McD of KFC will suffice. Usually I cook myself on Sunday and I cook "European"-style (whatever that is... think a beef stew that is to die for, or spaghetti, or the traditional Dutch meatballs/potatoes/vegetables).
Chinese fried rice isn't even that bad - they use almost no oil if it's fried the original way and it's so tasty. But I generally prefer brown rice (it contains a lot of food fiber and most Chinese food contains less fiber than Western - but my Western-grown body needs pretty much fibers) - which is difficult to get in China.
