Just in case anyone comes straight in here and doesn't look at the front page, etc.

I liked the article. It was extremely well written.

It makes me sad though. I can understand the frustration though, just getting it installed and working smoothly on my XP machine was really tough even with your help.

I'm in school working towards a computer software engineering degree. Maybe someday I'll have enough knowledge to work out some of these problems.

Definitely a good writeup. I'm hoping to get this game up and running in the next few weeks. I have an old WinME and P3 machine with a Voodoo card laying around, and so I'm actually gonna try using the old hardware approach instead of trying to tweak a newer machine.

I have an older machine set up just for the older Microprose and Jane's sims I still own. No hassles, no messing around with trying to get them to work....

I made the game works! Thanks a lot Flyboy!! The problem I have now is that the game is fast as hell and unplayable. From the article can't distinguish the best way to turn it down. Can you please help?

I wish you'd keep everything aimed at me in one place Stratos! It's hard work following you around!

Too fast? Ttry these...
1) Disable all but one processor core.
2) Try using a CPU slowdown program and experiment to see what works best for you.
3) Enable the 'vsync' option in the dgVoodoo glide wrapper settings (if using it).

If your answer to any of the above questions is anything like 'How do you...'? You shouldn't even have a PC! biggrin
