I watched a video of SH, that looks great with the 1st person perspective. Haven't had a sub sim in over 25 years, but that one looks good.
I should be online tonight and will be glad to get anyone interested in teamwork. biggrin
About to dig in!

I'm on the second level of BFBC2. We're in Bolivia now. I've got to say that I'm enjoying the SP Campaign in this one much better than the first BFBC. I'm playing the XBOX360 version. The graphical enviroments are Call of Duty quality. The game just looks spectacular overall. The firefights are very intense and the weapon feel and controls are spot on. Explosions and combat effects are great as well. Overall BFBC2 creates a great atmosphere and immersion factor IMHO. Well, time to get back to the game (while my PC tries to slowly install my boxed copy of Napoleon Total War at a snails pace. All Steam servers have been overloaded all day! Took me two hours to just get the download started! I think it may take until around 4pm tomorrow for the DL to complete at this rate!!)

I have not played a SP Campaign since OFP, so is this how SP works in these games? Cut scene, you follow your team to the bad guys and kill them, cut scene, follow you team, cut scene, more bad guys, cut scene, on and on?
What exactly does your team do? They never die. I was playing the part where you are attacked by a patrol boat and no matter where you go/hide the boat finds you and blows up the building you are in and all this time my team are shooting like crazy at the boat and the boat is shooting like crazy at my team and never killing them LOL. They keep getting blown up and doing these great back flips and they are back shooting like crazy at the boat.

I liked the sound, environment and the destructible buildings. I can only assume people buy this for the multilayer?

I'm liking the SP portion better than the last game. But, yeah, you buy a BF game for the MP, not the SP Campaign.

I heard the Campaign is only 5-6 hours long. That's fine for me. It's the MP that'll hold my interest.

It was the same thing with CoD:MW2. Short campaign (5 hours) but I love the MP, it's been great.

This will be a nice change of pace from MW2.

Sorry. didn't realize That could be taken as a spoiler. Was just trying to make a generalization about gameplay. I will take more care in the future.

Never touched SP, went right into MP and had a blast.
We all dropped at one point for a few minutes and then it was all back to normal. No lag, no issues joining.
The damage required to get a kill is very much improved. Hardcore mode is very nice. No indicators at all over anyone's head. Damage to kill is even better, but not so ridiculous as COD hardcore where a toe-shot can kill. Guns are satisfying and unlocks come fairly quickly, but I think it's worth it to run a certain class most of the night to get to some good stuff. Basic unlocks needed in each class come fast though, like the repair tool for engineers etc. Enjoying this game a lot so far.

I like the first mission, caught me totally by surprise.

This one's going to be fun, I like the more relaxed pace this game has to offer, a nice change from the MW2 in your face game play

I didn't find the MP relaxing, the people seem smaller probably because the maps are bigger but it was much faster pace then MW2 IMO.

I only got a few games in then the EA server crashed...plus my mic broke
