@ Klem the unmodded 4.09 beta ilsfb.exe and 4.09 final il2fb.exe are the same. I use the one with 4.442 KB.

The same is true for modded versions of 4.08 and 4.09 beta. You use the one with 156 KB.

In order to change from a modded version to an unmodded one you have to exchange the il2fb.exe and all if necessary other files with the same name but different sizes(files.sfs, mgsound*.dlls etc.).

You might have found it out on your own.

Some nice touches I've noticed thus far:

* S-328 has paraflares as part of its loadout. It would be nice to get this added to other aircraft which used these historically, if possible.

* When you open the canopy at speed in the D.XXI the side window panel slides back, but when you're at taxiing speed the whole hatch opens.

I stumbled across another nice feature on the D.XX1 yesterday - there's an instrument which registers the maximum speed that the aircraft has reached during the mission. It's a round dial on the right-hand side of the cockpit. I managed to get up to 650km/h. It seems to be the only flyable I've experienced in-game where it's not possible to achieve an airframe failure in a dive (I did manage to over-speed the engine, though). Perhaps the fixed landing gear doubles as an effective speed brake?
