confused Weird. My two speakers and little subwoofer are talking. I'm not playing anything at the moment. Its very subtle and even hard to hear up close through the speakers normal buzz but it defintately sounds like a conversation is taking place. I don't have any sort of radio intenna hooked up but it sort of sounds like military or official chatter. Has anyone experiences such a thing? exitstageleft

I have. We had a cheap Creative 2.0 speaker and if cranked up high enough, we'd hear some "whispers" through the silence. Figured it must be something from the cellphones or whatever though.

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.

I could not resit smile

Interesting, i have not experienced anything similar, but, every time when i am in my computer room with my G1 phone, noise comes out of PC speakers when my phone is calling e-mail server, every 5 minutes it happens, it also makes this noise when phone is about to ring , or message arrive.

Electronic signals, radio waves can be picked up by many things , you do not need to have receiver on your PC, probably some sort of interference and maybe frequency of something that matches this transmission that you hear.

I am sure there are people here who know about this stuff here, mine comments are just a guesses, nothing more

My old Cingular cell phone used to cause the same effect you are describing. In the car, in the house.

I used to have a cheap R/C toy Porsche, the kind that only turned in reverse. And even though I disassembled it and there was no speaker inside... from time to time I could hear CB radio traffic loud and clear talking through it.

Somehow, something resonated just right. I always thought that would have been an ideal spy gadget. A radio receiver/loudspeaker which did not physically exist in examining the sum of it's parts.

Wow how can you hear CB radio traffic, voices and all without any speaker device? Is it just some frequency that your ear picks up?

That's undoubtedly from a "leaner". I remember living in L.A. by the freeway and those amps on those radios would go through Anything shielded or not!!! Cable TV, phone, radio...hairdryer....anything!

BTT, There are a number of radio devices that can and will interfere with the signal being carried in the audio cable from the back of a standard PC. The best way to get rid of the noise is to use either HDMI or SPDIF cables to a discreet amplification system or the TV/Monitor.

Some funny comments, but (like some others here) i wonder of the most likely culprit to be someone's high-powered CB radio. An old neighbor of mine had one and it used to bleed through on the baby monitors, my old wireless phones and the CD player at times.
